"On top of a hill in a faraway land,
stood a towering castle, majestically grand.
Inside lived knights, all tall, brave, and strong,
and one little knight who felt he didn’t belong."

Quest I: The Good Knight
Small knight. Big heart. No backup.
When a desperate villager arrives at the castle, every knight suddenly develops a remarkable collection of excuses - bad coughs, broken down horses, armour in the wash - only Jack steps forward to help the village.
What he finds at the end of his very first quest isn’t quite what he, or anyone, expected. This is where it all begins. The castle. The excuses. The friendship that changes everything.
"Jack, you're too teeny!" "Not knight-material!"
"You need a new career—try something managerial!"

Expect at least one ROOOOAR, one EEEK, and a YELP loud enough to concern the neighbours.
Quest II: How to Rescue a Princess
A step-by-step guide to princess rescuing!
Jack is ready for adventure. Fully prepared. Highly trained. Slightly bored. Until, THUNK, Bard (the Royal Messenger Bird) crash-lands with urgent news.
A princess has been princess-napped by a trow. She specifically requested a smart knight. This is where the world expands.More chaos. More voices. More fun. And Princess Charlotte arrives, making it very clear she wants an active role in the rescue.
"“HELP!” the bird squawked in his best princess tone, I’m trapped in a tower. Princess-napped from my throne!”

Expect RAT-A-TAT-TATs. DING DONGs. ZINGs.
+ Strongly recommend to hydrate fully before reading!
Quest III: And to all a Good Knight
It's Christmas Eve at the Castle and the mood is ...complicated!
The stockings are hung. The Yule log is burning. And six knights are arguing loudly about presents they haven't even opened yet. Catapults. Karaoke kits. A centaur as a new favourite pet.
Jack has had enough.
One dragon-powered sleigh ride, one village full of heart, and one knitted jumper featuring a large polar bear later, and something happens to one very grumpy knight that nobody
saw coming.
The warmest story in the series. The one most likely to make grown adults suddenly have 'something in their eye'.
"‘Twas the night before Christmas, and up on
the hill, no creature was stirring, and the castle was still.”

Cosy. Gentle. Save the big voices for the finale.
+ Best read by firelight with something warm in a mug.
Quest IV: The Tournament
It's Tournament Day at the Castle - and the Wallachian Weasels are coming!
They always cheat. They always win. And they have a regulation for absolutely everything, including several they appear to have invented this morning.
With every other knight mysteriously unavailable, Sir Percy conscripts an unlikely team: Jack, Princess Charlotte and Fire Pud. What follows is five events of escalating chaos, jousting, tug of war, a human catapult, an egg and spoon race on stilts, and blindfolded archery, with the scoreboard going right to the wire.
Can fair play beat foul play? Can the Good Knights finally beat the Weasels? And who will end up in a bin at the end?
"But Sir Grumpleton shouted, "STOP! This
won't do! I cite the new Rule Book—Regulation Seventy-Two”

Quest V: Jack (the Knight)
and the Beanstalk
No back up. No help. Just Jack.
It's Spring half-term at the castle. Fire Pud is on a long-haul flight. Charlotte is visiting the King and Queen. And Jack is alone with the ever so delightful Sir Cecil.
Then something tall, green and strange appears in the village overnight. A boy climbs it and doesn't come back. Sir Cecil has a plan involving a very big axe.
Jack has a different view.
This is a solo quest, and the one where Jack proves, once and for all, exactly who he is.
"A GIANT?!" Jack whispered. "A real one? Up here?!" "Yes!" squeaked Hazel. "And shhh — he is very near!"
